Assholan, Sweden – After working tirelessly for years to change their town name, the residents of Fjuckby succeeded last night when The National Heritage Board finally granted permission. However, The Board ignored the town’s suggestions for a new name and took it upon themselves to declare the town “Assholan”, which is final and not subject to change for at least five years.
Residents were delighted when news of the decision to change arrived, but somewhat divided over the result. “Could have been worse,” said 70-year-old Assholer Lennart Hjortland. “They could have named us Cocksuckerfield. I think we should all get behind Assholan and support it.”
