Charge dropped against man accused for farting
A West Virginia man accused of passing gas and fanning it toward a police officer no longer faces a battery charge. The Kanawha County prosecutor’s office requested that the charge be dropped against 34-year-old Jose Cruz.
According to a criminal complaint, Cruz passed gas and made a fanning motion toward patrolman T.E. Parsons after being taken to the police station for a breathalyzer test. Cruz denies fanning the gas and says his request to use a restroom when first arriving at the station was denied.
An assistant says Magistrate Jack Pauley signed a motion to dismiss the charge Thursday. Cruz, who was arrested Tuesday, still faces driving under the influence and other charges.

Bacon Flavored Vodka
Don Yovicsin, owner of Jake’s Dixie Roadhouse in Waltham, makes his own bacon-flavored vodka, which has become a huge hit in Bloody Marys, he says.
He fried a batch of Niman Ranch thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon, added the crispy bacon to a large infuser jar with Absolut vodka, then let it sit for four weeks. After the liquor was smoky, he filtered out the bacon pieces with cheesecloth, chilled the vodka to congeal the bacon fat, then removed it via coffee filter. The remaining smoky liquor was bottled and put behind the bar, where Jake’s is serving it in a variety of cocktails. “The clear winner has been our Bloody Mary,” said Yovicsin. “It’s too perfect with the smoky bacon flavor.”

6 oz. Bloody Mary mix
Barbecue rub
1 Slim Jim
1 lime wedgeMix the bacon-flavored vodka and Bloody Mary mix together. Rub rim of tall glass with barbecue spices. Pour mix into glass. Garnish with Slim Jim and lime wedge.

Cross-dressing Purse Snatcher Leaves Fake Breast Behind
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Police in Port St. Lucie are on the lookout for a cross-dressing man who snatched a 74-year-old woman’s purse. As if that weren’t odd enough, they’re depending on a strange clue. The suspect left behind a condom filled with water he had been using as a fake breast.
The woman said she believed the thief followed her while shopping. A witness told investigators he was wearing a short denim skirt and black tube top, and fled in a silver car with two other male crossdressers.
Police are processing the condom for fingerprint and DNA evidence.
