Secret Revealed: The Star Wars Opening Crawl
A back lit matt painting was used while the camera paned backwards at an extreme angle. Note the string in the center is use as a reference for centering the camera. The string was removed before the actual production shoot. Oh yea, and they turned off all the studio lights too!

He was a Systems Integration Planner for the “Service Module” (the SM part of CSM) at North American Aviation in Downey, California. He helped put a man on the moon. Pretty fuckin cool, uh!
