News Of Uncle’s Death Deleted By Spam Filter
PALO ALTO, CA—An email from Marison Rawson containing word of her husband’s death was deleted by Eric Rawson’s spam filter. The message was discovered after a review of the deleted-items folder 3 weeks after the event.
“Dear extended Rawson family, it is with great sadness that I write to you to report the end of George’s battle with emphysema. George died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday night,” read the e-mail, which Rawson never received.
“The funeral will be held at St. Francis’ First Lutheran Church on Thursday, for those who might be able to attend.” While the death notice did not reach Eric Rawson, 14 offers for low-cost Rogaine did.
